Tom Tom Club's first-ever live album "Live @ the Clubhouse"
was recorded October 14, 2001 in the Clubhouse studio on Cock Island,
Connecticut.
The 2-CD set contains a complete show, including all Tom Tom Club
hits and a handful of funky covers, including Lee Perry's "Soul
Fire", Hot Chocolate's "You Sexy Thing", Phish' "Sand",
Questionmark & the Mysterians' "96 Tears" (also covered
by Talking Heads in their early days) and Al Green's "Take
me to the River" (which was the first US radio hit for Talking
Heads in 1978).
Percussionist Abdou M'Boup and the horn section of Deep Banana
Blackout make guest appearances on "Live @ the Clubhouse".
The rest of the band is Tina Weymouth (bass and vocals), Chris Frantz
(drums and vocals), Steve Scales (percussion and vocals), Victoria
Clamp (vocals), Mystic Bowie (vocals), Bruce Martin (keyboards and
percussion) and Robby Aceto (guitar).

and during Tom Tom Club gigs.
